da diese Eigenschaften von Deferoxamin bislang im Mausmodell untersucht werden, dürfte es -wenn überhaupt- noch Jahre dauern, bis Deferoxamin zur Therapie zur besseren Knochenheilung tatsächlich beim Menschen eingesetzt werden wird-werden darf. Daher wird noch kein Arzt eine solche Maßnahme vornehmen.

In de US hatt jemand mir denn Titel vom Artikel geschickt wobei mann Deferoximine bei HH gebraucht um die Gewrichte zu verbesseren (sehe hierunter).

Paul Cutler (1993) Deferoxamine in the Arthropathy of Hemochromatosis,
Journal Neurol. Orthoped. Med. Surg. 14, 90 - 92.
You do the usual phlebbing to unload the iron as far as possible, and
you accompany it by im injections with DF, only 10mgms pr kg body
weight and per injection, only twice weekly. In the case of joint
problems, these will often get worse if you do phlebs only, but if you
also chelate, eventually, the iron will go out of the joints and leave
the joints painfree. No need to inject into the joints which
frequently would not even be possible. Just inject at a suitable place
- the blood will carry the chelator around. IV can be more effective
in the beginning. Also good for the brain!!
It is necessary to chelate down to SF values below 50 in some cases.
And the process may take several months. As the healing proceeds, this
can be bloody painful. I recall pain in the tarsal joint. -- Good for
the whole body.

Dem letzten Beitrag nach klingt es so, als müsste der Chelator gar nicht in das betroffene Gelenk gespritzt werden, sondern irgendwo hin (anfangs am besten iv.), wo er mit dem Blutstrom abtransportiert wird.
Um Gelenkbeschwerden zu lindern, müsste man Mr. Cutler nach also ALs machen (phlebbing) und Eisenchelatoren spritzen, bis das Ferritin unter 50 ist, nur ALs allein verschlimmern die Gelenkprobleme wohl oft.
Was ich noch nicht verstehe, ist: ist der Trick nun das stark beschleunigte Absinken des Ferritins oder ist in dem Eisenchelator noch irgend etwas Anderes, das das Eisen speziell aus den Gelenken entfernt?
